HELPING MEET THE NEEDS OF LOCAL PEOPLE IN CRISIS
Walk INN Food Bank is here to help individuals and families in crisis by providing free emergency food as well as support until the appropriate agencies are in a position to assist. Tinned and dried food is collected from the public at supermarkets and “banked” in a our store. Food is then given to people in crisis as a result of referrals from registered care professionals, such as, Citizens Advice Bureau .
Food Bank Chicken Curry Recipe
Here’s how to make it:
Ingredients
* One tin vegetable soup
* Last scrapping of tinned chicken, shredded with a fork
* 1 1/2tsps curry powder
* Half a tin of mixed vegetables and some peas
Recipe
This is the super-simple bit:
Mixed up in a saucepan and heated thoroughly.
Even if you’re not using a food bank, you can still make this recipe, as it can really help keep your supermarket spend down – and it’s still nutritious.
